Oriental Burgers

Yields: 4 burgers

·        1 to 1 1/4 pounds ground beef

·        1 tablespoon soy sauce

·        1 to 2 cloves garlic, minced

·        1 tablespoon sesame seeds

·        1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

·        1/2 cup cold cooked rice

1. In a medium bowl, combine all the ingredients; mix well. Shape the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties.

2. Preheat a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat then cook the patties for 4 to 5 minutes per side, or until no pink remains.

Note: To make this into a meat loaf, double all the ingredients and form into a loaf on a baking sheet. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and bake for about an hour, or until no pink remains. Don't forget that bottled chopped garlic works just as well as fresh; it's usually available in the supermarket produce department.
