Iva Potato Donuts

 

2 c. warm mashed potatoes                                    

1 tsp. nutmeg                      

2 c. sugar or 1 c. Splenda, ½ c sugar                       

dash salt

 

3 beaten eggs                                                        

 

5 tsp. baking powder                                     

4 tbsp mark/oil                            

1 c. milk. warm/cooled

                                          

4 cups flour or a little more to make firm

 

Put mashed potatoes and sugar in bowl mix well, add milk, 3 eggs beaten and salt BP, oil/margarine and nutmeg.

 

Mix well using donut cutter place on cookie sheet.  Put in fridge while heating oil in  deep fryer.  Place 6 in pan of oil turn as golden brown do other side place on paper bag and paper towel.

You can place in sprinkles, sugar or icing sugar.
