Chocolate Pecan Pie Bars
1 1/3 C all purpose flour 2 TBS plus 1/2 C
packed light brown sugar, divided 1/2 C butter 2 eggs 1/2 C light corn syrup 1/4 C Hershey's Cocoa 2 TBS butter, melted 1
tsp vanilla 1/8 tsp salt 1 C coarsely chopped pecans
Heat oven to 350. In medium bowl stir together
flour and 2 TBS brown sugar.
Cut in 1/2 cup butter until mixture resembles
coarse crumbs; press onto bottom and about 1 inch up sides of ungreased 9" square pan.
Bake 10 - 12 minutes or until set. With back
of spoon, lightly press crust into corners and against sides of pan.
Meanwhile, in small bowl, lightly beat eggs,
corn syrup, remaining 1/2 C brown sugar, cocoa, melted butter, vanilla and salt. Stir in pecans.
Pour mixture over warm crust. Return to oven.
Bake 25 minutes or until pecan filling is
set. Cool in pan on wire rack.
Cut into bars.
