ZUPPA DI MUSSELS
3lbs of Mussels in shell
but scrubbed and cleaned with fresh water.
1/2 a lemon
1-teaspoon pepper
1/2 stick of butter
1/2 cup of white wine
1 whole onion chopped
Basil to taste, about
a teaspoon
3 gloves of garlic, smashed
with a knife
"DO NOT ADD SALT TO SEAFOOD"
Italian virgin olive
oil to coat bottom of pot |

Take all ingredients
and put in blender of food processor and mix into paste. Coat bottom of pan with
olive oil, place cleaned
still in shell mussels in pan. Put mixer on top of that. Cover with lid set burner to
med and steam for 25
minutes, stirring once in a while. When mussel are open, they are done, serve in a
large with Italian bread
from a good bakery. But wait! Have pasta boiling after mussels are eaten and
pour strained (liquid
with herbs) contents of bowl over cooked pasta and enjoy.
