Ladyfingers
This is a basic recipe for the popular dessert.
Serves 6-8
20 Ladyfingers
2 cups Coffee, brewed double strength
2 ounces Kahlua liquor
1 cup Heavy cream
1/2 cup Mascarpone (an Italian cream cheese
available in large supermarket's cheese shop)
1/2 cup Powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon Vanilla
1 1/2 Tablespoons Cocoa
Mix together the coffee and 1 ounce of Kahlua.
Set aside. Mix together the mascarpone,
sugar,
1 ounce Kahlua and vanilla.
Whip the cream until stiff peaks form.
Fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone
mixture.
Dip each ladyfinger briefly into the coffee
mixture.
Arrange half of them in a single layer in
a serving bowl.
Top with the cream mixture.
Dip the remaining ladyfingers and form a top
layer.
Sprinkle on the cocoa. Chill well (overnight
is best).
