Grilled Pizza
Using your home grill can produce a flavor
similar
to the restaurant-style wood-fired oven pizzas.
Serves 3-4
1 Pizza crust (bread machine, frozen, refrigerated,
or mix)
2 Tomatoes, sliced thin
1/3 cup Basil, fresh, chopped
2 cups Mozzarella
Your favorite toppings
Spray olive oil Bring your coals to an even
heat.
Form your crust as you normally would.
Spray the crust well with the oil.
Invert the pan and crust on to the grill rack.
Remove pan.
Use a large spatula to release the crust from
the grid.
Rotate often to insure even cooking.
When the crust is lightly brown, spray oil
on the top,
turn it over, and repeat the process on that
side.
Remove from the grill and place it back on
a cookie sheet or pizza pan.
Add the toppings (cheese last).
Place the pan (with the pizza on it) on the
grill.
Close the hood if the grill has one.
Heat until the cheese is well melted.
