Cornbread

 

INGREDIENTS:

2/3 cup oil or bacon drippings
2 eggs
2-1/2 cups milk
2 cups corn meal
2 cups flour
2 tablespoons baking powder
3 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt

TO PREPARE:

Put oil in bowl; add eggs and beat until foamy.

Add milk. Sift in dry ingredients.

Put in greased pan and bake at 475 degrees for 20 minutes.

 

SERVES 6 TO 8
